Tona’s latest video, “Vietkwam,” comes ahead of his upcoming Reform School Mixtape, which will be mixed by DJ Wristpect and is scheduled for release in February
Regarding the video, Tona states on the YouTube page:
The title comes from my African name “Kwame” and the everyday war I articulate in the lyrics using Vietnam as a metaphor for it.
“Webslinger” is the Simahlak-produced first single from 4th Pyramid’s upcoming The Pyramid Scheme (Silk Ivory/Universal), which will be released on March 13th.
The Backburner crew put out their compilation, Heatwave, last summer and have followed that up with their debut video of the same name. The single features Wordburglar, Toolshed’s Timbuktu and Chokeules, Jesse Dangerously, Jay Bizzy and Thesis Sahib on the hook.
The video release party will take place on February 2nd at Rancho Relaxo.
So Sick Social Club released their latest “horror hip hop opera” video over the weekend. “Sweet Nothing” features Onyz, Psych Ward, Bishop Brigante, Tom Savini and Louie Rankin (Ox from Belly). Directed by Tom Vujcic, the video is exactly what you’d expect from So Sick, blood, gore and a decent track.
“Sweet Nothing” will be available on their upcoming album, Dead Friends Don’t Tell, coming out later this year on Reel Wolf Records. The album will feature guest appearances from Onyx, Necro, Hopsin, Slaine of La Coka Nostra and more.
