[Audio] Scratch Cat & NewBreedMC – Walk Like A Ninja (prod. Scratch Cat)

“Walk Like A Ninja” is a collaborative effort from Scratch Cat and NewBreedMC.

Legend has it that Toronto has been infested with a plague of wack juice completely dimisishing and diluting the talent in the Hip Hop community. The plague has reached far and wide and the epidemic can only be contained through the stealth, swift and relentless way of true Ninjas.

Scratch Cat – one quarter of Toronto super group Faction and NewBreedMC combine their covert expertise of waging war to combat wack MC’s on this sword clashing Boom Bap Chant – “Walk Like a Ninja”. The fatal combination are able to use their skills in human flight, invisibility, shape shifting and even the ability to summon animals and the 5 element to combat the plague.

[Audio] Prolific – Sham (prod. Prolific & James Pew)

Originally from Lennoxville, QC but now residing in Toronto, Prolific has released the first single from his upcoming sophomore album, Amor Fati. Production for “Sham” was handled by Prolific and James Pew of Euphonic Sound.

Prolific’s musical career has travelled lyrically, sonically and geographically. After a full-length release out of Montreal he is now working to add a new album to the thriving hip hop scene in Toronto. Working with genre-merging producer James Pew at Euphonic Sound, the new album is shaping up to be Prolific’s most exciting work to date. “Sham” re-affirms Prolific’s hip hop roots while lending to new artistic directions. Lyrically both contemplative and critical; the song creates an inner dialogue for his listeners that questions norms. “Sham” can be likened to work by El-P and Trent Reznor, but distinguishes itself as purely Prolific.

[Audio] D-Sisive – Graceland

“Graceland” is the first track to be released from D-Sisive’s upcoming Asian Elvis mixtape (July 31st). The instrumental is taken from “Dada” from Black Milk and Danny Brown’s Black and Brown LP.

This song has been through a few name changes since I recorded it last Tuesday. It was originally titled Bubba Ho Tep, after the Bruce Campbell film [for obvious reasons]. Then I renamed it Don Mckellar, after the brilliant Candian director/actor, for patriotic reasons. After sitting on that title, I decided to not give this one a NAME name. It’s the Asian Elvis jumpoff so I wanted it to be simple.

My home inspired the majority of the lyrics. Positively and negatively. So it made sense to go with the home of the mixtape’s inspiration.

Graceland.
