“Toronto MC “Diaz” returns with a new track, “Don’t Stop” produced by up and comer MrMRTNZ for their new collaborative project titled “Transition”. On this new release Diaz confidently displays his aptitude in both English and his Spanish native tongue. The sound to this joint differs from his usual “Boom Bap” style showcasing the diversity in his artistry. Transition is scheduled to be released by the end of the summer
Diaz is back with a new joint featuring his main production partner and Co-owner of MOVE Records, Phizzix. While most rappers boast about their luxurious cars, Diaz and Phizzix flip it on this track and spit about the infamous 90’s ride, the Chevy Cavalier Z24. Although the content might be on the humourous side, they maintain a serious attitude in their rhymes and production. Phizzix provides a rugged boombap soundscape that’s a nice match to the subject matter of the song.
Diaz’s latest video, “The Ride,” was produced by and features Che BLVD and was directed by Fed Up Films.
Diaz starts off 2014 with a new set of visuals and smooth flowing track featuring artist/producer Che BLVD. With video production by Fed Up Films, Diaz and Blvd take the viewers on “The Ride” and remind them to enjoy the times while they still can. From behind the scenes footage to limo rides they emphasize the “work hard, play hard” motto and embracing opportunities as an artist.
Along with frequent collaborator Caliph, Diaz brings you a new cut Produced by beatmaker/instrumentalist Dead Horse Beats. With a sample driven sound scape Diaz + Caliph remind us that in a world where labels follow trends that produce the largest revenue, love for the artform is still present just not in the forefront of today’s Hip-Hop. Do you think the love is gone?
Directed by FedUp Films, “Breathe In” is Diaz’s latest video.
“Diaz, back with his long time production partner, Phizzix, brings you a laid back vibe with his new cut “Breathe In”. Along with some relaxing visuals brought to you by Mark Tytler at FedUp Films, this is one “joint” you won’t want pass on.”
“Latin Girls” is a new track from Diaz and production/songwriting duo MJS.
“Staying busy this summer, Diaz is back with a new joint which details his admiration for Spanish Girls (which is something most Men can relate to). This song is produced by and features MJS. MJS is made up of Carlos Martinez and Gabriel Gomez a prominent songwriting / production team out of the city of Toronto.”
After their well–received collabo “Cloud 9”, Diaz and Caliph come together again on “Different Day” with Phizzix providing a sound reminiscent of the golden era of hip hop. Both emcees express their thoughts on what an-up-and coming artist encounters on the road to success. The captivating visuals and direction by Mark Tytler of Fed Up Films, show the viewer the daily hustle of juggling a 9 to 5 while trying to turn artistry into a profession.
