KemiKAL releases debut album Elevator Music: Going Up

KemiKAL’s debut album, Elevator Music: Going Up, is out now. With the exception of one track (“Believe That” – Mason Payne) the album is produced entirely by KemiKAL. Featured appearances include Gudini, Coyote, Izm and Erik Flowchild, among others.

Elevator Music has been on the drawing board for a long time and includes songs that were written, recorded, or produced as long as 4 years ago all the way to songs that were recorded within a month of this release. This was intended to be his way of showing the world his development. Distinguishing the old from the new may be a challenge for the listener as everything is structured to create an all around well put together project.

[Audio] Scott Ramirez – Headlocks (prod. Justunlimited)

New track from Scott Ramirez. Produced by Justunlimited.

In “Headlocks,” Toronto rhyme-slinger Scott Ramirez places his audience in a submission move while serenading them with personal thoughts, social commentary & rabid braggadocio over big band-type horns and thumping drums. Inspired by jazz records and dusty vice grip raps, produced by Justunlimited, this single is the first release off a performance heavy year with opening slots for the GZA, Masta Killa, J-Live and Stalley and since his official debut EP “Mad Work, Low Pay, Big Dreams” in 2011.
